Unlike other people, they can identify with you on an emotional level that others simply can’t. And this alone can give you an emotional support that shouldn’t be easily dismissed. These groups often provide a safe forum where women and couples can discuss the problems they’re having and be comfortable belonging to a group of people many of people who have experience similar problems to their own.
No matter the type of infertility problems you may be having, you’ll find that a support group can be the ideal place to find other couples who are going through similar issues as you. And in the process, you will also probably make new friends. The lucky among us have friends that try to console and help us through tough times. But there’s really no replacement for a friend that can identify with you your problems because they’ve been through the exact same problem themselves.
